Publisher: [Iloilo City] : [Ateneo de Iloilo], c2024Description: 54 p.DDC classification: Ref 373.07 M2944 2024 Summary: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of researcher-led tutorial services in Mathematics towards grade 4 pupils in Donato Pison Sr. Memorial Elementary School. This study aims to offer meaningful learning experiences and develop the pupils® knowledge in their lessons in Mathematics. The researchers have prepared to (a) instruments to answer the four (4) research questions: a test questionnaire in evaluating the learners' level of comprehension in their Mathematics lesson before and after the intervention and a 7-point Likert scale to survey the experiences of the learners exposed to researcher-led tutorial services. The instruments used were validated by three experts. This study utilizes the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The 4-week program consists of class discussions and social interaction. Thirty-two respondents who consented were divided into two groups, experimental and control groups. Prior to the implementation, a pretest was conducted to the 32 participants to assess their level of understanding in their Mathematics lessons. The experimental group of 16 participants was then exposed to the researcher-led tutorial. This consisted of one (1) hour tutorial sessions three (3) times a week for four (4) weeks. The sessions were conducted in the grade 4 classroom after their dismissal in the afternoon. After the intervention, a posttest was conducted to the experimental and control groups. A 7-point Likert Scale was then given to the experimental group.
