We must be grateful and do our utmost to protect them," said DENR Region 6 Regional Executive Director Livino B. Duran. The researchers would like to avoid this type of problem again by mapping out the mangroves that are in Esplanade. It will help the people to preserve the mangroves that are present there. This will inform the public of what species of mangroves are there, how they can be preserved and how they will benefit the Iloilo River. Part of the map will also include proper waste segregation tips to remind the public that littering in Esplanade is punishable by the law. The results of the research suggest that since 2016, there had been various mangrove planting activities that help spread and preserve various species of mangroves in Esplanade 1 and 2. The researchers would like to suggest that there be more programs on replanting and conservation mangroves in the area and how to take care of the riverside, as well as make surveys about the mangroves in Esplanade occasionally. | ||
