520 | _aThe declining English proficiency among Filipino students, particularly in reading comprehension, poses a significant challenge to education. The COVID-19 pandemic further worsened these issues. To address this, a quantitative experimental research design was utilized to enhance English proficiency using BrainTrain Tutors among 33 Grade 4 students at Mandurriao Elementary School in Iloilo City. These students were selected using purposive sampling. The researchers utilized pretest and posttest assessments with 40 multiple-choice items aligned with the tutor lessons. Lessons, homework, and tests were adopted online and through textbooks. Instrument reliability was ensured by engaging education and English language experts. Through the use of Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test in analyzing the pretest and posttest performance data, results showed that the students significantly improved in the posttest. Therefore, concluding that the BrainTrain Tutors had a significant impact on their academic performance. | ||
