520 _aVermicomposting is a sort of composting where certain species of earthworms are employed to speed up the conversion of organic waste and create a higher-quality final product. It is a mesophilic method that uses worms and microbes (Zafar & Zafar, 2020). In the Philippines, hydroponics is growing in popularity and is even being used in backyards there to supply food for Filipino families (Gomez, 2021). Vermicompost, a commercial nutrient solution and a hydroponic system were the research tools employed in the study to grow 24 Batavia lettuce seedlings. The researchers then harvested and gathered the lettuces grown by the two setups and weighed them individually. The result after the data was analyzed through an independent t-test was that the difference between their weights were not significant.
