520 _aThis research paper aimed to investigate how books impacted cafe customers' level of motivation to visit such establishments. Participants were randomly selected from the first book cafe in Iloilo City, Book Latte, at a certain time interval. To gather information, 74 participants were given a questionnaire with a list and set of statements that described both their perceptions about the cafe and level of motivation with regards to books based on their personal experiences. A descriptive research design was employed in the study to examine information about a detailed and accurate picture of the demographic and behavior of the local population. The result showed that Book Latte customers, regardless of gender and age, had a positive perception of the integration of books in the cafe and were slightly motivated to visit the cafe due to the presence of books. This aspect of the cafe, however, was not the main motivator for customers to come back to the establishment. This study could also potentially serve as a guide to the development of more effective strategies to enhance the overall cafe experience, and as grounds for future research.
