520 _aAbiotic Stresses are any environmental factors that affects plant morphology, physiology, and biochemistry, leading to disadvantageous effects that hampers plant growth and delays their development, which would ultimately cause the agricultural sector to deteriorate. Thus, the researchers came up with a solution on this underlying issue and it is the utilization of Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus, Stapf) Essential Oil in a Wood Paste Incense, a type of Biostimulant, which contains growth-regulating organic substances called Terpenoids that promote, boost, and encourage plant development through plant-derived smoke. In alignment with the UAP 4, which is Care for the Common Home, the objectives of this study consist of boosting the agricultural sector by encouraging the use of organic chemicals and mitigating harmful effects of synthetic chemical pollution. The researchers tested their incense product on their experimental samples for 7 days, calculated their mean mass, analyzed the data through t-test for independent samples, found out that there is no significant difference between their experimental and control group and discovered that the incense slow down the rate of deterioration of samples instead. From there, the researchers pointed out several limitations in their study such as presence of pest in the samples, quality of the soil and the transplanting of each sample, which may have caused the deterioration of some samples. Lastly, it is recommended to benefactors that the product is to be used in enclosed spaces such as greenhouses as it involves plant-derived smoke. -Researchers
