Studies have shown that the memorization ability of learners towards written text regarding the topic of English is affected when subjected to specific colors. The current study was carried out to investigate the correlation of between the use of color red in the learning materials of non-native English-speaking Grade 6 students regarding their test scores in the subject of English. This true experimental study utilized the Solomon Four- Group design wherein Pure random sampling was utilized in the selection of the participants from San Joaquin Elementary School. Data was collected by a valid and reliable Learning material consisting of Pretest and Posttest with and without intervention, Questionnaire, and answer sheet. The study's resulting data was subjected to the 2x2 Factorial ANOVA with the aid of the IBM SPSS Statistical Software as the goal is to determine the significance of the causational effect of two independent variables (the act of pretesting and the application of red in the learning materials) on the dependent variable (the learners' test scores). Based on the results, we accept the null hypothesis that asserts the two variables are independent of each other the general application of red in the learning materials and the scores of the participants are not associated with each other. The findings Indicated that the overall scores of the students and the intervention had no correlation. Thus, we can conclude that there is no significant relationship between the memory retention of students and the color red.
