The Covid-19 lockdown heavily impacted how academic institutions administer assignments, as most schools, during that time, transitioned to remote learning with the passing of the assignments online. This caused a massive decrease in the submission rate of assignments of students, mainly due to technological issues, procrastination, and lack of motivation. Hence, this topic was further dwelled upon by the researchers, as the researchers wanted to see if there is indeed a significant difference between the submission rate of students online and face-to-face. This study aimed to identify why the submission rate was low, the preferred medium of answering assignments, and the possible factors causing these issues. The researchers addressed this issue by collecting data from the subject teachers of the grade 11 students to analyze if there is indeed a significant difference in the submission rate. The researchers then identified those who are willing to participate in the study and disseminated a questionnaire that would answer the researcher's questions such as "What medium of submitting assignments do the grade 11 students prefer." After analyzing the data through graphical representation and thematic analysis, the researchers found out that students still prefer to submit assignments through the face-to-face medium as it is more convenient and effective, which could invoke an influx of assignments being administered through pen-and-paper. Students were also able to identify several possible solutions, such as the physical copy reminder, the 2P2M, wherein several students said that it could be effective, hence further research on its effectiveness could be groundbreaking.
