Inadequate drainage can complicate transport and increase the likelihood of floods which raises the risk of disease transmission among residents. It is essential to provide proper drainage in order to improve the road performance and ease the daily lives of the residents. As part of the phenomenological study, one-on-one interviews and giving questionnaires to various people were conducted to elicit themes and insights about their flood experiences as well as their thoughts on the road and its drainage system. In order to gain a qualified viewpoint on the subject, engineers were also interviewed. The investigation revealed that a specific subdivision in Madurriao and Brgy Oñate De Leon, Madurriao require more upgrades in terms of drainage design and upkeep. The interviewers identified a variety of annoyances related to floods and their movements. The general conclusion reached was that an appropriately built and managed drainage contributes to both the improvement of an area's overall traffic flow and the preservation of people's health and safety.
