The radish is used in many iconic dishes in the Philippines, making it a significant cultural food ingredient in the country. However, the radish grows in the unideal growth conditions (tropical climate) present in the country since the crop is best grown in temperate climates, affecting crop quality. To offer a possible solution to this gap, the study aims to determine the effectiveness of different ratios of NPK 5-10-10 fertilizer mixed with Biochar to the radish in different growth parameters: leaf length, crop length, fresh weight. The study used an experimental research design to be able to properly collect and analyze the difference in data between data groups an observational sheet was used to record the necessary data needed for the study. Since there are a total of three data groups, two of which are experimental groups with different treatment ratios while the remaining group serves as the control group, with each group containing (30) radish plants in total, the Kruskal-Wallis test was conducted to analyze the data accurately and effectively. This is to determine if a significant difference is present between the three data groups in terms of the growth parameters. The results showed that the radishes in the treatment groups contained a significant difference in terms of its fresh weight only. Therefore, the researchers conclude that there is a significant difference between the 3 groups in terms of its radish fresh weight, but not its leaf length and the crop length. |
