Summary, etc. Multilayer Filtration is a water purification for treating water. In Barangay Rizal Estanzuela, cases of Gastroenteritis surged in August of 2022. As such, multilayer filtration is introduced to treat contaminated water. The aim of this study is to test the effectiveness of multilayered filtration in treating microbial contaminants. Under quantitative analysis, two filters are used to determine the pretest and post-test of the Multilayer Filtration device in the following parameters; BOD, Chloride, Color, Dissolved Oxygen, Fecal Coliform, Nitrate, pH, Phosphate, Temperature, Total Suspended Solids. The research instrument consists of three parts (1) to determine the parameters in the water (2) using a multilayer filter (3) the quality of water before and after the filtering process. Both filters one and two were able to pass within the standard of the turbidity test. The filters were also able to pass the pH, the Total Suspended Solids, and in DO (Dissolved solids). In the Chloride test, filter one's samples were within the acceptable parameter however, the well A samples of filter two garner scores of greater than the parameter thus failed the test. Both filters failed on the Total Coli, and Fecal Coli criteria where it garnered a large amount of Coliform to be recommended for Type B water classification. Both total coliform and fecal coliform have the same amount when tested, both have a result of >8.0. Which means that the water is contaminated and it fails the Philippine national drinking water standards.
